Alright seriously folks next weekend is a long weekend and I would like to suggest we take a short 45minute trip to mclean creek I know a couple of good big campspots that are easily accessible by any vehichle seriously like even a geo metro so everybody should get there shit together and we should get out there.......... if you don't come I will fight you!

I'd be there but I have to go to a crap ass family reunion in Battleford, Sask. This is the side of the family that we rarely see... all my cousins are meth heads, practically all my uncles and aunts are divorced and will therefore be fighting all weekend, most of the older people are alcoholics or recovering alcoholics, not many of them have graduated high school, and the majority live on welfare... yup they're real winners! So as you can imagine, my side of the family doesn't really fit in or get along with them so well.

It drives me crazy that I pay taxes to support their lazy asses so they can sit around and eat corn dogs and watch WWE all day. Talking to them is a struggle... you cannot use big words or else they get confused.

ARRRG, I'm very unhappy about this reunion if you can't tell! Like I don't spend enough time up here in Deadmonton away from my friends already; and now I have to waste a whole weekend in butt fuck nowhere, when I could have come home and actually be hanging out with you guys.

Wow... where's the Tylenol.

Well, I'm back home now. I knew this weekend was gonna suck... but I had no idea how much it was gonna suck! Battleford has to be the most desolate boring place in the entire world. There was NOTHING to do... and I really do mean NOTHING! The Reunion was held at the local shooting range... like in the long hall where you would shoot the guns. They just removed the shooting stations and put a curtain at the end to cover the targets.

I had to endure some terrible slide shows and had to mingle with some of the most lame people I had ever met. Either they were hardcore mullet wearing hicks or they were churchy jesus loving hicks. The jesus ones were the worst! I never thought I'd say this but I'd rather hang out with the garth brooks loving mullet wearing ones than they churchy ones any day. The churchy ones were all dressed like they were from the village of the dammed. We were so bored that we went to a nearby field and started throwing around a football. The churchy ones did not participate or let their kids play because all sports are from satan or something. WTF!!! Then they had to say fucking 20 minutes of praying before dinner. I naturally did not pray and went to get first dibs on food from the buffet while they were wasting their time praying to jesus.

What a friggin waste of a good long weekend. I will never return to Battleford as long as I live, what a shit hole!

Yes, I am a bitter, bitter, man.

I also will be getting an offer in the next few days to stay at EPCOR and work for the winter. I was REALLY looking forward to moving back to Calgary, but I think this is going to be the kind of offer I won't be able to refuse (in both gaining experience and financial terms). So it looks as if I may be up here in Edmonton longer than anticipated. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!

This city just won't let me out! Here is a metaphor to explain my situation. I am like a shooting star trying to break free from the grasp of Edmonton's greasy sausage fingered hands.

At least I'll get my vacation in a few weeks... houseboating here I come! I have a year's worth of drinking to pack into one short week. Watch out world!
