Venting!
« on: May 29, 2006, 08:28:49 PM »
Wholy crap!  Today has been the most useless boring day at work ever!  I hate not having stuff to do!  I've pretty much waited all day to meet with my boss to present a report to him, and to get assigned some more work.  Anyways he just cancelled on me and wants to do it tomorrow.  Argggh!  I've already been trying to get something to do from other people around the office, but I haven't been able to get much more than a few odd things.  I'd rather be super busy than have nothing to do anyday!  Now I have like 2 hours of work left and absolutely nothing to do.  There's only so many websites you can visit over and over again!

Do any of you ever have the same problem?  What do you do about it?  Or do you cherish having some time to piss around?

Allright!  That rant wasted a whole 5 minutes.

I look up as many excel functions as I can and scan the web to learn about macros. Things are slowly coming along.

Its funny you should mention that, cuz I just started up again at Mpact Marketing and I spent 30 mins downloading photos from my digital, that's how I killed time at the office.  I also spent some time on myspace finding some muzak to listen to.

Not so much.  I've tried to google all kinds of shit at work, but a lot of it comes up empty. The best method for learning so far is to open another spreadsheet, and keep recording new macros, then see what the code is like.  You can just copy the stuff that you want into your working sheet, and I can figure out most stuff like that. I also have a couple of experts in the office that I visit with for the hard stuff.  I'll let you know if I come across any really good sites though, I'll be using excel all summer.
