Things that piss you off
« Reply #105 on: October 10, 2006, 06:37:08 PM »
I'll make this short and sweet if I can.

My current cable television package contains the five Sportsnet Channels:  Pacific, West, Ontario, East, and HD.  However, according to Sportsnet, certain Regional Broadcast Regulations force them to blackout regional games outside the area.  So here I am with Sportsnet West in Fredericton and when the Flames game comes on...bam, blacked out.

Now what the hell purpose does that serve?  I understand blacking out in the city to encourage people to go to the game.  But why black me out?  Am I going to buy a ticket and fly out there to watch them get their asses beat by San Jose?

In short I pay for 5 of the same sports channel.  The only thing that made them different was the games they show.  But I guess that isn't the case.  They have not heard the last of me.  I will have my vengence, there are only so many Sens games I can watch before I go nuts.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some death to defy.

Boys?

So trying to get the full value of my money is a crime?  I'm sorry if I feel entitled to receive all of a channel if I subscribe to it.  I bet you support the government on this eh?  Sell out.

I as well hate those snoring pricks.  They are definitely doing it on purpose to piss us all off.

The best part to that story of Andrew's:  the game wasn't even blacked out in Calgary...

However, it should have been, because if too many Calgarians start watching that form of "hockey" no one will go the the games anymore!

Does anyone else use the Windows Live services? This really pisses me off.

I don't know if it's just my computer, but everytime I log into god dam Windows live mail service it takes forever to load, then loads only half the screen, then tells me that the task cannot be completed and too report the error.. I am about ready to snap!

Live messenger is so picky it scares me, occasionally just kicking me off. It apparently won't cooperata with Zone Alarm, and only on my computer. The little mail button rarely ever actually connects me to my live mail account. And since I got the "new" version of live mail I can't look at people's my space accounts... And this is the best part. Everytime I manage to get to a myspace account, if I try too look at someone's galleries, it links me to my galleries.....WHAT THE FUCK!

Anyways, I needed to get that out before I actually put a brick through my monitor, or sent  descrete white envelopes, filled with fine white powder too the windows head office.

I got a couple good ones!!!

I fucking hate people that drag around those god damm mini bags with the wheels and long handle.  You see them all the time now at school, downtown, or in the airports.  For fuck's sake pick up your bag and don't be such a fucking useless sack of skin!!!  I always want to just come up behind these people, wind up, and boot that stupid bag out of their hands.

I also realised that people that don't walk up and down escalators really piss me off... they were built with steps for a reason... so you can walk up and down them.  If you are to lazy to take 15 steps on an escalator you should not be allowed to live.  It's even worse when people stand right in the middle so they block the whole escalator so everyone has to stop.

Lastly, Edmonton!!!  I can't take this weather any more!!!  Since Mid October there has not been a single day where it wasn't snowing or colder than hell... seriously not one!!!  If it's not the cold it's the snow and if it's not the snow it's the cold... I don't think I can take it much longer, I'm seriously ready to slit my wrists.

That is all... now where's the Advil?

You are so so right, and its not like the backpacks are heavy, like it was luggage or anything.

Do you know what pisses me off? What Steve, What?  I'll tell you what.

SouthCentre's marketing department.  They bought like 6 segway's (personal transport vehicle) for Mall administrators to be seen traveling the mall, answering any questions a patron may have.  First off, instead of using the $42,000 they spent on these devices on something useful, oh I don't know, perhaps advertising, renovations, promotions, they spent it on these devices to interact with people, somehow while they are cruising at a speed of 12.5mph, towering over everyone, and intimidating to anyone stupid enough to get lost, or unable to read a directory (they don't even have to do that anymore, with the user-friendly ViCi "Vicky" touchscreens).  "Yes, segways will put us back on track, they will make us forget our ills, help us interact, and identfiy our support staff with their helmets and 6'6 stature."
