Loving it.  I'm over half way through season one.  This show is pretty wicked.  It isn't even that science fictiony really.  One episode was like a court room drama, this last one was about torture, albeit torturing a Cylon.  I contend that we are not in fact geeks for watching this show.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have some death to defy.

Ya, it's not phasers, shields and defector dishes like Star Trek or other sci-fi shows. Wait till you get to the New Caprica episodes...... Compare it to current events and it's pretty nuts.

The fact that there was a suicide bomber in the early episodes has already made me start to think about current events and all the security concerns about "one of them" being among us.

Mike I think I am starting to agree with you after the XO's wife came on the show in the last couple of episodes (Ellen, I just double checked her name).  She could for sure be a Cylon.  If she isn't, she is just a giant bitch.  Though it all seems too obvious, a possible red herring?

This thread will prevail until the crew of the Battlestar Galactica reach the fabled Thirteenth Colony known as Earth.

I bet it would be confusing though to just watch a new episode.  I would recommend the 2003 mini series to start, that is where I began.

Tsk tsk.  You know Shad, true love takes work and commitment.  I'm not sure you are really ready for BSG until you can give it as much as it gives you in return.

Exactly... I just can't be there enough for BSG.  Maybe it's time we saw other people.

Ever think BSG might be the cause rather than the symptom?

No way, the ladies dig us for being dangerous.  We risk getting beat up everyday for watching the show.  Now that is a man's man.

And the ladies on BSG are WAY cuter than any we know. If you can't get'em in real life you may as well have them on your television.
