Okay it is time for a Subspace topic. We can discuss anything from strategy, tell stories, or set up sweet game times where we can rock everyone.

Son of a bitch, yesterday was pub day so I knew that today would be a score reset. I had 10 million points last night, I should have bought prox and then died, but I wanted to turret with the prox. Time to put some work in before I get home and then over Xmas.

I just fly around and shoot people... then again I've only played for a total of 10 minutes.
What else can you do in the game besides that?
BTW post your names... mine is something like Thornax. I have to check to make sure when I get home... I just picked something random and don't remember how I spelt it.

Yeah most of it is flying around and shooting people. One fun part of that is when we make our own team and then kill everyone. Or you can attach to one guy and be a turret. So you only shoot while someone flies, which is pretty fun.
There is also capture the flag going on. There are 30 flags around the map. You can tell who has them because they will show up in red on the radar and their name will be red with a colon and then the number of flags. Your team has to capture all the flags and drop them, normally in a base. Assaulting or defending a base is awesome. Though that is a good way to rack up some deaths.

And there are balls to get goals with. They are yellow... I think. There is a net on the far very left and right that you shoot it into to get goals. And when you get a goal is goes; GOAL GOAL GOAL GOAL! That's what I do.

It's a pretty good game. You can also go to the Dueling arena and challenge people to duels. if you want to try your luck press ESC then A and at the top in the middle of your screen it will list arena's, use page up and down to select the one you want, the presss enter.
Also if you want to find out if anyone you know is on, type ?find and then the persons name.
if you want to send a message to someone in another arean type :name: then just type your message. You can also press F1 to find more commands etc.

Well I just figured it was the most obnoxious and gay thing I could possibly say. So naturally I went for it.

Okay listen up, here is the deal. I figured it would be easy if we had a squad for Subspace. Just for shits, but also because I think you can squad chat and whatever. Anyway, I ended up creating two squads so we need to decide which is the best.
"Gong Show" is taken. However, I just created both "Gongshow" and "The Gong Show".
Let me know which you think is the best so we can get on the same page. Or tell me if this is a stupid idea and I'll just drop it.
Also I thought having a banner for the Gong Show to put on our ships would be sweet. However my attempts are failing, mostly due to the technological limitations of Subspace. Thus far I have made a shitty gong and a shitty stick guy, a la the banner at the top of the page. I'll post them both here though I encourage someone to try something else.
So after we get these decisions made (if we actually want to do these things) then myself or someone will post the info on how to join the squad and now to implement your banner.

I was just thinking that most people would pick that one over the other. Anyway the password is banana, so everyone can join. We can worry about a banner later if we actually care.
So when you are in the game, for those of you who do not know, type:
?squadjoin=The Gong Show:banana
That should bring you within the squad and everyone will think you are uber.

Who as is playing occasionally? I know bob, myself, Andrew, and Jami are. Shad, Jaron, steve, Jay... are you all down for some SS? We shoul have a night were we all get on and play.

typing ?find and then the persons name will tell you if they are online and which arena they are in. then you press ESC, choose the arenas, and then choose the arena that the person is in. THEN someone will probably send you a message and tell you to enter =1212 or something to join the team.

Okay just a few pointers, problems I think you folks may encounter. When you initially run the game you may not have the correct zone list. What you need to do is when you first open the game, before you join a zone. Click View on the pull down menu, then go to Zones. Once that menu opens up, click the "Download" button and find SSCU Extreme Games on the list. Add it to your zone list and hit okay. Then join that zone.
As before as Jami said, to find people type ?find playername. Then you can move to that Arena by pressing Esc, then A, then PgUp and PgDn to navigate. Use the help files or F1 for the basic controls etc.
Also, you can message the entire squad. Type # then your message.

Last night may have been the best Sub Space night ever. All because of one lucky shot by me. We were turreting and there was this dude who had prox and over 3,000 bounty. We bricked and then one of my bombs connected and he died. Needless to say he freaked right out. I have a screenshot of his whiny rant. His name was Pro-x. I laughed myself to sleep I swear (yeah, I don't care if that is sad).

Anyone who actually checks this stuff, squad practice at approximately 9pm Mountain Time (unless I'm horribly mistaken). If "squad" means just Mike and I, then so be it.

Subspace is not gay, so bob your above statement should have read: "You know how I know I'm [not] gay. I'm going to play subspace in Mexico.". I'm also disapointed in the turnout for the squad practice last night. Does anyone know how many people showed up? That's right, just one - Me. The noobs of subspace need to be worked by a turret of awesome power, that runs on friendship and underhanded insults. That turret is us people, they need us out there.
